Dutraive is at it again here! Svelte is probably the best word to describe this. It’ll lure you in on the nose and then blow you away mid-sip. Dried florals, ripe cherry and currant, wonderful tannins.

Domaine de la Grand’Cour is a Beaujolais estate with the majority of its vineyards in Fleurie. It produces a number of red wines sourced from different vineyards in Fleurie and Brouilly, all from the Gamay wine grape variety.

The domaine was founded in 1969 by Jean Dutraive, making it one of the oldest estates in the region. It farms a little more than 10 hectares (24 acres) of vineyards with fewer than 1000 cases produced annually from each plot, with some variation depending on the vintage.
